I had heard so much about this from different places I felt I had to buy one just to see what all the fuss was about. I was a little put out that where I bought it from there was only the black one, I'd been hoping for pink as I have so many black hairbrushes I have a tendency to lose them and I thought pink would stand out a little better and be harder to lose. But at the end of the day the colour doesn't make all that much difference so I picked up the black one. When I first took it out of the box I actually thought it looked a bit cheap and tacky, considering how much I'd paid for it. It's made completely out of plastic (or looks to be anyway) and there isn't all that much to it. It's a weirdly shaped object, approximately 5 inches by three inches (depending where you measure) and has lots of little spiky bristles coming out of it on one side in two different lengths. When picking it up the first thing I noticed was that it is incredibly light and although this made me feel even more like I'd been ripped off, I actually decided I liked it. It's lighter than basically all of my hair brushes and means it's a lot less strain brushing your hair whilst holding a heavy hairdrier at the same time. Also being light means you can carry it around in your bag without being weighed down which is a plus, but I'm not entirely sure I'd want to bring it out in public due to the fact that it looks a bit weird and I bet I'd get a couple of strange looks. As for the weird shape I'm assuming it's designed like this to fit into your hand comfortably, only when I tried I couldn't even work out which way up it was meant to go without looking at which way round the writing on the opposite side was, or where about to place my hand and fingers. Eventually I just grabbed it any old way and started brushing my hair and my fingers found the most comfortable way to hold it. It's still a little weird when you find the best position for your hand because if you are like me and used to using normal hairbrushes with slim handles, this is a lot wider and takes some getting used it. It's designed for both wet and dry hair so I decided to try it on dry hair first. I have to admit that I'm not the best person to be testing this out. What you really want is someone with really curly and tangled hair, which mine isn't. However mine is very dry and damaged and when I brush my hair using a normal hair brush over my desk by the time I'm finished my desk is usually covered in bits of hair from my numerous split ends. However after using this that didn't happen which was quite a shock. As for the feeling of brushing besides being a little weird to hold the bristles are plastic and feel a bit sharp scratching my head when brushing but it didn't hurt, it was just a weird sensation because I'm used to softer brushes. I later used it on wet hair and I was impressed, it didn't get caught in any knots and went through my hair nice and smoothly. And as the bristles are plastic I could use it to brush when I had conditioner in and then the brush was super quick and easy to rinse off and dry. Overall I still think that this looks a lot cheaper to make than it is being sold for but I've also paid more for hairbrushes in the past that weren't as good as this without feeling ripped off, so I think it's mostly just the simplicity of the design that makes you feel like you've been ripped off a bit. Saying all that
