Doesn't do what it claims to
From the tube:
Heat activated gel rich in botanical extracts, temporarily smoothes, straightens and tames curly or frizzy hair. Contains UV protector. Extends the life of colour treated hair.
Directions: Distribute evenly through damp hair and style as required.
This product comes in a 75ml tube but despite it's fairly small size it lasts for ages as you only need a very small amount of this product for each use.
You apply one or two pumps of this product after shampooing and conditioning as usual. You'll want to apply into your hands first and rub it around before applying to the hair as it's in the form of a very thick clear gel which can get a bit sticky.
When applying to the hair as with most products I focused on the mid lengths to the ends (avoiding the root area so as not to make it look greasy when the hair is dried). The gel is heat activated so use of a hair-drier and straighteners afterwards works best, and you don't need to apply any protective spray/cream before blow drying as this works very well to protect your hair through heat styling.
Despite being excellent at protecting my hair I have to say I didn't notice much of a difference when straightening, my hair was no easier than usual to straighten and no less frizzy.. It also claims to prolong the life of coloured hair but I can't say I noticed any difference with the length of my colour either.
I'd recommend this as a heat protection serum but after my tube is finished I doubt I'll buy it again as there are many other products out there that do a similar job for a lot less. As a straightening product I am not impressed at all.
