Favourite day of the week and why:
Saturday. I get to spend it with my other half who works all week, knowing that
we still have all of Sunday together as well.
My top beauty tip:
Take your makeup off! Even if it's 4am and you can barely reach for a facewipe,
just do it. My mother always took her makeup off, and at 68 she still has the most
incredible skin. Try to get into a good routine, let your skin breathe overnight
and always treat it delicately.
My top general health tip:
You are what you eat. There's no point in spending a fortune on beautiful products
if you're just going to stuff your face with burgers and pizza every night. Drinking
fresh lemon water and eating lots of fresh fruit will help you create a flawless
canvas and get the most out of your makeup.
What is your favourite treatment at the Urban Retreat?
I love the Murad Pom Power Pore cleansing facial. It's fantastic for really unclogging
and brightening up your skin, giving you the most gorgeous natural glow.
What is your favourite part of your job?
I love meeting and working with all kinds of different people in different locations
from Birmingham to Boston, to the Bahamas. I adore transforming my clients' looks,
and I'm utterly obsessed with makeup!
What were the last three things you bought on your bankcard?
I bought a stupidly expensive jar of imported Reece's Peanut Butter, some leopard
print ballet flats, and a sparkly collar for my kitten.
What do you eat for breakfast?
I have muesli with soya milk and banana... Sunday mornings however is all about
the cream cheese bagels.
What's in your handbag?
Too much! I'm like Mary Poppins with a carpet bag. Obviously my makeup bag, keys
on an oversized Hello Kitty keyring, Tangle Teezer, bottle of Alien perfume, Blackberry,
mini zip up purse with plasters, my inhaler, some post I forgot to send . . . I
could go on.
