" I like the natural look, I think beauty is from the face and make up just helps "

Winner of Holland's Next top Model 2011 and walking the runways of fashion weeks worldwide ever since, the Dutch beauty reveals her skincare rituals, love for London and fashion week highlights.

Which LFW show has been your highlight?

The Jonathan Saunders show; I had this amazing red outfit. But I love walking on every show I can.

Having walked the runways of fashion weeks all over the world, what do you love most about being at LFW?

I love London, I always have such a smile on my face when I come here. The best thing about LFW are all the amazing clothes and designers you guys have.

The constant changes in beauty looks between shows must be hard on your skin & hair. What are your favourite products that get you through it?

It is really hard to get your skin and hair in good condition with fashion week. Laura Mercier is great! I use it day & night everday. I also use a facemask every 3 days from a Dutch brand called Dr. Hoog. For my hair, I use a mask from MoroccanOil; the Restorative Hair Mask smells so nice and makes my hair really soft!

Top beauty product on your wish list?

The White Caviar Illuminating Hand Cream - or absolutely anything really - from La Prairie!

" What I Love about LFW is the world celebrating British Fashion in the most exciting city in the world-my home! "

She created her first collection at 14, has her very own London store and regularly showcases her designs at Fashion Week, but this British designer definitely still feels the buzz of celebrating Fashion right here in London.

What three words best describe your fashion label?

Feminine, fluid and unique.

What colours and trends should we be looking out for this season?

There has been a growing trend towards statement pieces which I see continuing and strengthening; look out for interesting fabrics, textures and statement prints in deep, rich colours, as well as a continuation of black and white.

What are your LFW Essentials?

Crème de la Mer - the original Moisturizing Cream at night and the Soft Cream in the day. It keeps me looking fresh, calm and in control – even when perhaps I’m not!

Can you give us some key tips to keep us looking on trend throughout fashion week?

Drink masses of water. Walk everywhere – don’t expect a cab and do plan your walks. Wear sensible shoes (walking only!) but obviously skyscraper heels at the shows! Wear Maria Grachvogel Magic Pants for fantastic figure forming, comfort and ultimate style!

" I love the buzz backstage; working in a team of make-up artists, hairdressers and stylists to bring a designer's vision to life. "

With extensive runway, film and editorial experience under his belt, the national Make-Up artist for NARS was our absolute port of call for an insight into how the make-up magic backstage happens.

What product can you never let the models onto the runway without?

Optimal Brightening concentrate from our NARSskin range. It restores the luminosity of the model’s skin and helps enhance the wear of their make-up for a photo ready finish.

Tell us about the key AW13 beauty trends to look out for.

Autumn/Winter is the season to be more playful with makeup. Statement eyes and lips will be a definite; ranging from smoky eyes to bright lip colours with warmer shades and pastel hues thrown in the mix.

Top beauty tips and tricks to get us looking fresh faced and fabulous through the madness of LFW?

Start with your skincare routine and use a primer before your foundation and set your complexion products using a powder. NARS’ new Light Reflecting Setting Powder is perfect. The easiest step you can introduce into your makeup wardrobe is a brighter shade of lipstick or blush; they brighten skin instantly, giving the freshness of plenty of beauty sleep.

What is it you love about LFW?

I love the atmosphere and the adrenaline rush you get in the minutes just before the show when the models are all lined up and everybody is holding their breath waiting for the first look to hit the runway.

I get excited about watching designers that I have grown up with and put on amazing shows every season there seems to be a thing in London where people push the boat out more and each season is such a move away from the last.

The diversity and that everyone is quite unique in their style there seem to be no rules for London!

Red Topshop lipstick or my orange Sisley lipstick.
